10 Printable Bible Verses for Homeschool Moms

I've been a part-time homeschooling mom for a few years now.

Last year I homeschooled my youngest even though he attended our local kindergarten 2 days a week, and continued to part-time homeschool our oldest who attends public school (due to his language disorder).

But my husband and I decided to officially enroll our youngest in and online school for the 2019-2020 school year and keep him home.

I'll admit, deciding to jump in with both feet has me feeling excited...and intimidated.

This is what I've heard from other homeschool moms, too...
  • That they feel intimidated.
  • That they feel scared that they're ruining their child's future.
  • That they're not qualified enough.

Sound familiar? And that is exactly how the enemy of our soul operates. He tells us these things and then lets us believe that we're the only ones who feel this way....

So we don't open up and share about our fears and intimidation.

We think the homeschool moms who've done it for a while are 100% confident and rocking on with boldness and faith while we're over here like a heaping hot mess of "What in the world am I doing??"

It's time to take all of that fear, intimidation, and lies that we're ruining our kids' lives to our war room and defeat them with God's Word!

And then open up to other homeschool moms so we can encourage one another with the strength and power of the Lord.

10 Printable Bible Verses for Homeschool Moms

I truly believe that every homeschool mom needs to have a well-developed war room filled with verses in her arsenal that will drive out the lies

...that tell her she's not good enough or smart enough.
...that tell her she's failing her children.

1. Proverbs 3:5-6

"Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths."
Heavenly Father, I know you are the source of all wisdom. Today I purpose in my heart to stop trying to figure things out on my own. I purpose to stop looking to Google and the experts for my source of wisdom. I choose to look to You and listen to Your voice directing and guiding me to the tools that will help me train my children in Your ways so that they will accomplish the purpose for which You have created them.

2. 1 Corinthians 12:9

"And He said to me, 'My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.' Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me."

Heavenly Father, I know that in my own strength I cannot do this task to which you have called me. I feel intimidated and overwhelmed by this calling, but I know that Your grace will strengthen every weakness within me, enabling me to do the very thing I feel incapable of doing. Thank you for Your grace and the power of Christ in me to end this school year well!

3. Psalm 32:8

"I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will guide you with My eye."
Heavenly Father, as we get ready for a new year with new challenges and new obstacles, I need You to guide me me on this path. Teach me how to best train my children in wisdom. Teach me how to best guide my children in this fallen world. Teach me how to best give them the tools they need to accomplish your purpose for their life. I purpose in my heart today to keep my eyes on you as you guide me with Your eye.

4. Philippians 4:13

"I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."
Heavenly Father, today I will stop listening to the lies of the enemy telling me that I am not good enough, qualified enough, educated enough, or smart enough. I refuse to entertain the thought that I am failing my children. I will stop telling myself that I can't. Today I declare that through You I can do all things because You give me the strength, the wisdom, and the power to do what I couldn't ordinarily do. Thank you, God, for Your strength and power in me to do what You've called me to do!

5. Isaiah 26:3

"You will keep him in perfect peace, Whose mind is stayed on You, Because he trusts in You."
Heavenly Father, my mind is swirling with a lot of thoughts, with a lot of "what-ifs", but I choose to focus my mind on You and trust You and Your word above every thought. I choose today to bring every thought into captivity to the obedience of Jesus Christ and keep my mind on You and Your Word because I trust in You. I cast down every argument that tells me I can't or that causes me to question my ability to fulfill Your calling for me.

6. James 1:5

"If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him."
Heavenly Father, today I choose to embrace Your wisdom above man's wisdom. Today I purpose to stop putting my hope and trust in Google and child experts and to trust You - the Creator of the Universe and the Creator of my children. God, I ask you today to give me the wisdom I need to teach and train them to be godly men and women, to be leaders in their generation, and to fulfill the divine purpose you created them for.

7. Galatians 6:9

"And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart."
Heavenly Father, today I am weary. I am tired of getting up early and going to bed late. I am exhausted from the lesson planning and grading papers. I am worn out from being both teacher and mom. But I know I'm doing good. I know I am doing the right thing. And I know that I am sowing good seed in the hearts of my children that will bring forth good fruit in the end...if I don't lose heart and give up. Give me Your strength today to keep going. I need Your strength today to not grow weary.

8. Philippians 4:6-7

"Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus."
Heavenly Father, Today I choose to let go of the anxiety and fear. I choose to not entertain the thoughts of "what if". Instead, I come to you in prayer for wisdom on this homeschooling journey. I lay down my burden and bring to You my needs. I ask you to fill my heart with Your peace on this journey of faith to which you have called us. Guard my heart and mind in Christ Jesus from the fiery darts of the enemy that would fill me with fear and anxiety.

9. 1 Thessalonians 5:24

"He who calls you is faithful, who also will do it."
Heavenly Father, I know Your calling for me is to homeschool my children. I pray for strength and wisdom to fulfill this call. Enable me to finish this day well and to finish this school year well, that it will all be to Your praise and glory. Thank you for Your promise to complete this call in me!

10. Psalm 121:1

"I will lift up my eyes to the hills— From whence comes my help?"
Heavenly Father, thank You that my help doesn't come from curriculum or experts; that my help doesn't come from from any other source but You. Today I choose turn my eyes upon Jesus, knowing that You are my source of wisdom for this day. Thank you that I can come to You each day for fresh wisdom and grace, knowing that You give them to me in proportion to my need.
